Happy Birthday Mia!

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday and in honor of her turning another year older I thought I would tell you all the things I appreciate about this wonderful woman:

1) I am so thankful I have a mom who supports me no matter what, whether flying off to Africa at the age of 14, living in inner-city Philadelphia, moving to Haiti or babysitting and supporting us through cancer.

2) I am grateful for a mom who knows when to show up and when I need to figure things out on my own.  I think this has probably taken years of practice on her part, I hope to be that good with Finley on day!

3) I am blessed to have a mom that loves to serve, whether working with the poor and deaf in Honduras or her weekly group with the deaf women at the prison!  My mom knows what it means to serve and she puts her gifts to use!

4) I am thrilled to have a mom that loves me as much as I love my little girl, that is a lot of love and not always easy!

5) and lastly and least important, I am really glad to have a mom with some good genes!  I won't tell you how old she is, but don't you think she looks great?

There are a lot more things I love about my mom, but I will stop there.  Happy birthday to a wonderful, kind, hard-working, compassionate woman!  I love you, Seth loves you and Finley adores you!

On a totally different note Chemo go pushed back to the 27th. Seth has some chemo teaching and gets a port (a semi-permanent place to put an IV) on the 24th.  We will let you know how it goes and as always we are incredibly grateful for your prayers!

Thanks for joining us,
Seth, Sarah & Finely
